WTQT-LP was known as TQT 106.1 FM, serving the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area with Urban Gospel music. As “The People’s Station,” its mission was to educate and inform the community while advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The station featured a lineup of specialty programs designed to uplift and connect with the local audience, including locally-focused shows like “Lets Talk” and “Positive Voice,” as well as the nationally syndicated “UA7 Gospel Countdown”. Note that the license for the 106.1 FM frequency has recently transitioned to Southern University, which now broadcasts with a blended format of gospel, hip-hop, R&B, and pop under the new call sign, WSUB “The Bluff”.
