WRAB Radio was founded and licensed as Brindlee Mountain’s first radio station in 1961 broadcasting at 1380 AM during daylight hours.

For over two decades, as the area’s only local radio station, WRAB FM provided news, information, announcements, weather, sports and a sounding board for the city and county government.

In tandem with the early broadcast of WRAB, the very popular “The Helping Hand” Show made its debut as a bulletin board, swap-shop and radio flea market offering goods and services by individuals as well as items to sell or trade.

Now in it’s sixth decade, the world-famous “The Helping Hand Show” is hosted by veteran announcer and the “Voice of Arab and Brindlee Mountain” – Archie Anderson. It airs Monday through Saturday at 9AM.
