WHFC Radio, broadcasting on FM 91.1 and licensed to Bel Air, Maryland, is Harford Community College’s student- and volunteer-powered radio station, serving Harford County and the greater Baltimore area along with parts of northern and central Maryland and southern Pennsylvania. Weekdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., the station features a college-radio take on the Adult Album Alternative format, moving between rock, R&B, pop, funk, folk, Latin, soul, and experimental tracks from one song to the next. The station operates through a hands-on Student Learning Lab open to HCC students and community members alike, offering training in on-air hosting, production, writing, engineering, and marketing.

Beyond music programming, WHFC produces community-focused talk shows, including “Veterans SITREP” on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m., which connects veterans and their families with local resources. The station has also partnered with Harford Athletics on a sports broadcasting initiative for students interested in live play-by-play announcing, and it produces a slate of original podcasts covering campus and community topics. Listeners throughout the region can listen live online in addition to tuning in on the FM dial.
